Mill House Stud has been selling horses at various different sales for the past 12 years and  2009 was a particularly successful year considering the impact that the recession was starting to have on the bloodstock industry.

The Tattersalls Ireland November Sale at Fairyhouse started the ball rolling with the foals.  The homebred PRESENTING out of NOVE ROSE making €58000 and another homebred KAYF TARA out of CHAMPAGNE LIL making €48000.  The only yearling to be consigned by us there was the full brother to KAYF TARA out of CHAMPAGNE LIL who made €46000.

Tattersalls December foal sale in Newmarket carried on the success with a GALILEO out of BELLE ALLEMANDE colt making 130000gns.  This was followed by a homebred filly by ACCLAMATION out of MYSTERY OCEAN realising 74000gns.  This filly was MYSTERY OCEAN'S first produce and she is the black type half sister to PENKENNA PRINCESS.

2010 has started well with a successful Doncaster Spring Store Sale back in May, but it is the Tattersalls Ireland November sale and Tattersalls December Newmarket sales that promise to be very exciting.

Once again our mares have been getting in to foal successfully, these include:-

FLUTTER BYE (1/2 sister to IMSINGINGTHEBLUES) in foal to YEATS

On the racing side we have had a tremndous NH season headed by TATANIANO (see photo below) who won the 2 mile grade 2 chase at Cheltenham in November 2009 and the John Smiths 2 mile Grade 1 chase at Aintree this April.  MASTER OF THE HALL looks to also be a major contender this season.  BATONNIER proved to be an impressive 4 year old bumper winner along with LIFESTYLE, SPRINTER SACRE, MASTER FIDDLE and DI KAPRIO.

QUISCOVER FONTAINE was a leading Irish Novice Chaser for Willie Mullins this spring.

SWEET IRONY was a winning bumper horse for Alan King, held in high regard and a very exciting novice hurdle prospect for this season, plus many other individual winners, who have all been sold, produced or bred by Mill house Stud.

We have a serious collection of 3 year olds cantering at the moment who will be placed with trainers to either run in a bumper, or point to point and then be sold.

KING'S THEATRE x LISA DU CHENET is out of a half sister to IRIS ROYALE, SAINT DU CHENET and impressive 3 year old TARANIS DU CHENET. He is a very good looking quality individual who is showing us a lot and does everything very easily.

WESTERNER x ARDSTOWN is a very correct, quality individual who moves well and is doing everything very easily too.

JOCK DES MOTTES by MARESCO SORRENTO is a fine big stamp of a horse.

We have 2 lovely PRESENTING geldings, both strong and good movers.  The 4 year old will go to Ireland point to pointing  this autumn and the 3 year old will follow in the spring.

MISTERNANDO out of the good mare SEA GALE also moves very well and has taken the work in his stride.

These 6 young horses are very exciting prospects and we look forward to getting them to the track and sold.
